If you are looking for a stainless steel finish in a modern looking refrigerator side by side
this LG 26.5 refrigerator is great looking and offers a large capacity for extra
storage. The side by side design is very stylish and is a relatively new design which has several advantages.
It provides extra storage area in the doors and provides easy access to all the items in your
refrigerator.
This refrigerator comes with a number of attractive options and is a very reasonably priced model that will
provide good value for your money. One of the advantages of its water dispenser is that it includes a filtration
device so you will have freshly filtered water on tap. There is also a monitoring system that will light signal
with a light when its time to change the filter- a really nice touch to make sure you always have a filter that is
doing its job. Just remember that if you buy a refrigerator wiht a water dispenser and filter you will have to
replace the filter every four to six months - and they aren't cheap.
If you have children that are always running in and out and constantly not quite shutting the door you will be
happy with the door alert on this model that will let you know if the door isn’t completely closed. This is
particularly nice option considering the cost and importance of conserving energy.
LG is a long established manufacturer of appliances with a well known reputation for providing good quality
products that are reasonably priced for the value they provide. If you are looking for refrigerators side by
side with a large amount of capacity, a very attractive set of options, and that won’t break your bank account, you
should consider the LG 26.5

What's great about it: Nice looking, lots of features, roomie, plenty of freezer space
What's not so great: have to replace water filter every 6 months, h2o not completely filter
"I agree with the reviewer above, we have a new house, and it sticks out a bit due to this fridge is VERY deep. You
might want to measure the steepness of your cabinet/fridge area if you have concerns. But will get used to it after
a while and it gives you more room. The ice maker is stationed on the door, giving us more room to store our
ice-cream. The ice-maker can crust ice in 3 different sizes by selecting the size selection button next to the
ice-maker.
When ice maker stop working, simple turn it off ( there is a switch) close the door for 10 seconds, then turn it
ON. It will fix the problem. I called technical support and they have 24 hr tech support that speak clear English
and no hold time at all.
One thing I found interesting is that the we have to replace the water filter everything six months according the
the "calendar" on the display. I thought that the water should have measured by gallons. Replacment costs about $50
for six months which seems a bit high ( we have been using it 6 months). Also, the water is not as clear as the
water we buy from a "pure water" stores, and it leaves stain on our water warmer.
Over all, we are happy with the fridge, no BIG problem at all. Keep cold drinks, salads, and frozen ice creams"

What's great about it: Water and ice maker in the door and large freezer with pull out drawers
What's not so great: I miss a place to store my eggs and the dairy corner only holds small margarine
containers.
"We replaced a 17 year old refrigerator and are very happy with our purchase. It took me a few months to find the
exact refrigerator I wanted as I knew that this was a product I would have to live with for quite a few years.
This refrigerator has so many options that we really like:
1) The vegetable crisper keeps our vegetables fresher longer.
2) Soda storage on the door is very handy.
3) The snack drawer is great to keep healthy snacks easily accessable.
4) The pull out drawers in the freezer allow for easy access to all items.
5) The size of the freezer is much larger than most models we looked at.
5) The water and ice in the door has to be our favorite feature with the crushed ice being the most popular ice
cube setting.
6) I love the stainless steel, and yes, it is stainless steel, not stainless steel finish or stainless like."
